The Vitruvian Trainer is one of the best and most innovative smart gyms you can buy. The good news is that the Vitruvian Smart Gym is available in Australia. Here’s how to get it in Australia:
What is the Vitruvian Trainer+
The Vitruvian Trainer is an entire home gym in one sleek platform. The trainer uses digital weight. Basically it’s magnetic resistance that can be controlled using the companion smart phone app. The Vitruvian can automatically adjust the weight throughout an entire movement (i.e start easy, and increase weight etc).
Is the Vitruvian Trainer Available in Australia
Yes! The Vitruvian Trainer is available in Australia and it comes with an Australian plug. Vitruvian offers free shipping to Australia as well. The trainer is compatible with Australian voltages.
The Vitruvian Trainer+ is available from the Vitruvian Website.
Unlike smart gyms like the Tonal Smart Gym, that require special installation, the Vitruvian just needs to be plugged in.
How Much Does the Vitruvian Trainer+ Cost in Australia
The Vitruvian trainer isn’t cheap. And unfortunately like most electronics and workout gear, Australians tend to have to pay more. The Vitruvian trainer+ currently costs a whopping $3,990 AUD. Surprisingly though, this is actually cheaper than what the Vitruvian is sold for in the U.S when you convert the currency. So for once Australians are actually getting a better deal.
This includes the trainer+ but you need to pay extra for the attachments. And without the attachments the smart trainer is pretty much useless.
When you buy the Trainer includes 12 months free access to the All Access Membership. This is an optional membership and the trainer still works without needing to buy the subscription.
Is the Vitruvian Trainer+ Worth it?
At nearly $4000 I don’t think the Vitruvian Trainer+ is a very expensive piece of kit. While you can do a lot with the platform, I don’t believe it’s as versatile as a pair of dumbbells and a bench. You can pretty much do every workout with a pair of good adjustable dumbbells like the Nuobells.
Obviously with the Vitruvian you get many more features. And being able to tune the weights based on the exercise or muscle group you’re working will appeal to strength trainers. I’m looking forward to testing out the Vitruvian trainer at some point and giving it a more detailed review. But for now, I think it’s just a little too expensive to add to my home gym setup.
