Athletic Greens review for Australia

What is Athletic Greens

AthleticGreens makes a product called AG1. AG1 is a 75 ingredient product that is formulated to provide nutrients, support gut health and support the health and the daily nutritional needs of just about everyone

Note – The formula of AthleticGreens does change over time. They are currently on 52 iterations. This is based on the latest research and customer feedback. So things may have changed very slightly since I wrote this post.

What I like about Athletic Greens

Multiple Products In One

Athletic Greens is designed to replace a multi vitamin, probiotic, prebiotics, super food blend, greens blend and adaptogens. I like that it basically covers everything. Although I feel like I have a pretty good diet. I know there are times where I’m not getting all the minerals and vitamins I should be. This helps fill those gaps.

A Good Routine

I’m a big believer in the power of habits. I’ve enjoyed getting into the habit of taking it every morning. I get a little shot of dopamine every time I do. And I use this to transition into my work day. Preparing AG1 is a little ritual that makes you feel like you’re looking after yourself. I like this.

Well Though out System

You can tell a lot of thought has gone into this product. It has been around for a while now and gone though a lot of iterations. It shows. The kit you get when you subscribe includes a shaker, scoop and storage canister (to store the product in the fridge). All of these are well designed. It’s vegan and paleo friendly, gluten free and non gmo. It’s been designed to appeal to a wide user base, no matter who you are.

High Quality Product

One concern I have with supplements are heavy metals and other contaminants. Every batch of AG1 is tested for heavy metals. AthleticGreens is manufactured in a TGA registered facility.

What Does Athletic Greens Taste Like?

Some people will like the taste and other people are going to dislike it. Personally I don’t mind the taste at all. It definitely doesn’t taste how it looks. Athletic Greens taste like a combination of pineapple, apple and vanilla. It does have natural flavours in it which give it the taste.

After a month of taking Athletic Greens, I’m definitely used to the taste. It’s perfectly fine. Even if you don’t like “green” stuff, I would still give this a try.

Is Athletic Greens too expensive?

Athletic Greens is an expensive supplement. In Australia you’ll end up paying over $100 AUD every month. That being said, I pay around the same amount for protein powder each month. And that product a lot less complicated. The fact that it will replace a multi-vitamin and probiotic means depending on what supplements you’re currently taking it could end up being approximately the same price.

You are also paying for quality. There are a lot of terrible supplements available. The probiotic in Athletic Greens is the only one I’ve felt noticeable effects (more on that below) and every batch is tested. Every ingredient in AthleticGreens in 100% traceable.

There are other greens products on the market but I’ve found they aren’t made to the same standard. AG1 has been under development for a long time. It’s currently on its 52nd iteration. There’s been a lot of thought put into each ingredient. Some of the cheaper alternatives tend to just shove anything under the sun in. I’m very particular about what supplements I take and I like to do a lot of research. The ingredients in AG1 are backed by research and not just the latest health fad.

Does Athletic Greens Work?

I wish I could tell you that I Athletic Greens has made me feel invincible and I once again have the energy of a 16yo. The reality is that I have been feeling healthy recently and energetic but it’s really hard to pin it down on Athletic Greens. It could be the exercise I’ve been doing, my sleep, breathing exercises or most likely a combination. I have been feeling healthier more recently. AG1 is part of that. But I can’t say it’s just that.

There are a couple of things that have been noticeable. The first is my gut has been feeling great. The probiotic in this is fantastic. I’ve been looking at other reviews and while they are obviously wide varied, one thing that most people mention is an improvement in gut health. I won’t go into any gross details, but I will say everything just feels better – from bloating to the bathroom – it’s just better.

The other weird noticeable difference I’ve come across is my nails have been growing much faster.

Will I keep subscribing to Athletic Greens

Yes. I’m fortunate that I’m in a position where I can buy a product like AthleticGreens. I don’t really drink any alcohol anymore, and the way I see it – any money I would have been spending on alcohol I would rather spend on this.

I’ve been feeling great recently and AG1 has been part of my life. So I plan to continue subscribing.

Where to Buy Athletic Greens in Australia

The best place to get Athletic Greens in Australia is directly from the AthleticGreens website. They ship direct to Australia. In my experience the deliveries usually take about 3 days and are delivered by DHL. The only downside of the Athletic Greens site is they currently don’t charge in AUD only USD. I’ve put in a request to see if this will eventually get changed.
